Your Jewel Orchid is a flowering plant that prefers bright indirect light. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry; this plant doesn't like completely dry soil nor soggy soil. If you feel hot or cold, your jewel orchid probably feels the same and needs adjustment. Humidity is not as important as timely waterings, but keeping a humid environment can buffer watering timing. A standard soil mix will work just fine, and don't worry about fertilizing but once or twice a year in the spring and summer.
